Mission Statement

American Collegiate Society for Adapted Athletics exists to provide an opportunity for students with disabilities to compete in multiple sports through university sponsored programs against other schools in or out of their conference or division. ACSAA will provide an opportunity for disabled students to have more normalcies in their lives, and to gain greater respect from the general population. ACSAA exists to finally change the statement “all men are created equal” to “all people are treated equal”.

Meet the Founder: Rob Egan

Rob EganAmerican Collegiate Society for Adapted Athletics (ACSAA) was founded by Rob Egan, a native of Wichita, Kansas who now attends the University of Tulsa. Rob was born with cerebral palsy in 1995, and was diagnosed at age two. Rob’s passion for sports coupled with a state essay competition inspired him to channel energy into adapted athletic competitions at the college level. He assembled his ideas into a non-profit on June 16, 2009, and now, almost 5 years in the making, American Collegiate Society for Adapted Athletics (ACSAA) is rising to national attention as a promoter, creator, organizer, and supporter of intercollegiate adapted athletics.

Rob oversees all daily operations as the President of ACSAA. He was elected President by vote of the Board of Directors and assumed his full duties on July 9, 2013. He sits as a voting member of the board, and has been responsible for nominations to the Board since its creation in early 2010.

In his free time, Mr. Egan enjoys music and traveling, and is active in several campus organizations at the University of Tulsa.
